This print series reproduces imagery from five original works by Miriam Cabessa, created with oil paint on photographs, taken by the artist herself.

“Her Wild Body” Limited Edition Prints are part of a visual diary chronicling Miriam Cabessa’s intimate and passionate relationship with her life partner writer Noa Raveh. Cabessa and Raveh manage together Cabessa’s studios in New York and Tel Aviv as well as their publishing house “Malka”. “Her Wild Body Red” is the image covering Raveh’s book with the same title.

Miriam Cabessa is an American Israeli painter. She was born in Morocco, raised in Israel and now has studios in New York and Tel Aviv. In 2022 she won the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the Israeli Ministry of Culture. Cabessa’s feminine action painting has been internationally recognized since 1997 when she exhibited at the Venice Biennale. “The body is the first machine, and it is also the organism yearning for contact.” says Cabessa, which over the past three decades has abstained from using brushes, opting to make marks with domestic objects and her body. Her imagery ranges from organic to mechanistic with surfaces that are both haptically handmade and digitally serene. Cabessa's work has been shown extensively in the U.S., Europe, and Israel in solo and group exhibitions, and is part of major international private and public collections.
