Ernesto Bijovsky and Matan Raz, the faces behind the food blog EM / Our Food Stories, capture the beauty in the everyday. The blog was conceived after the two became a couple. “We felt that at the time, there wasn’t a forum where a foodie lifestyle of cooking every weekend was fused with the story of a gay couple living in Tel Aviv,” explains Bijovsky. Though there is a casualness to EM / Our Food Stories, the duo are not heating up leftovers and posting candid shots on Instagram. The photographs have an organic feel and are shot in the couple’s kitchen using either an iPad or an iPhone. Although they are not intentionally styled, the images are minimalistic and tasteful, literally and figuratively.
